Born From
Resilience
From an elementary school wall to a groundbreaking invention—discover what pushed Tyler to create The SimpleScore.

Where It All Began
Tyler's love of racket sports goes all the way back to childhood—riding his bike to the elementary school and hitting a ball against the brick wall until it inevitably landed on the three-story roof. That love of the game never faded.
Years later, playing tennis, Tyler kept forgetting the score mid-match. The thought stuck: there has to be a better way to keep score.
I was determined to fall forward and have always wanted to be an inventor.
The Turning Point
Tyler was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. When every standard treatment failed, he entered a clinical trial for a brand-new drug—and it worked. The treatment was so effective it earned FDA approval.
Coming through that experience with a renewed perspective, Tyler decided it was time to chase the invention that had been on his mind for years. He set his sights on building the scorekeeper he always wished existed.

The SimpleScore Was Born
Inspired by the durability of a Timex and the simplicity of a Casio watch interface, Tyler designed a scorekeeper controlled by just two buttons—mounted right on the paddle.
It's been a winding road, but The SimpleScore is here—and it's built for every pickleball player who's ever lost track of the score.
